ProCase MacBook Pro Cover: Cheap Plastic, But It Does the Job
A minimal snap-on MacBook case with vents, feet, port cutouts, a keyboard cover and a small pouch. Not premium plastic, but priced right.
The ProCase MacBook Pro cover is worth buying if you want everyday ding and scratch protection without burying your MacBook in a sleeve. It snaps straight on, keeps ports open, adds ventilation and rubber feet, and throws in a keyboard cover and pouch. The plastic isn’t premium. The price fits.

Quick Verdict
Snap-on shell, ventilation holes, rubber feet, every port still reachable, plus a keyboard cover and a little pouch in the box. The plastic isn’t high end and I’m not pretending it is. For simple daily protection with almost no added bulk, that’s fine.
Buy if you:
- toss your MacBook in a bag without a sleeve
- want the original MacBook look still visible
- need all ports open while it’s cased
- want a keyboard cover thrown in
Skip if you:
- expect premium plastic, this feels like a budget shell
- want drop protection, this is dings and scratches only
- prefer a padded sleeve over a snap-on case
I Didn’t Want to Hide the MacBook
That was the whole reason I went looking. A MacBook is expensive, but stuffing it in a bulky sleeve every time you move rooms gets old fast. The ProCase MacBook Pro cover snaps right onto the machine and stays there, which I absolutely prefer.
Where It Sits Against Other Snap-On Shells
Among snap-on shells, this sits at the cheaper end, below Inateck and well below Mosiso’s frosted cases, and the plastic feel confirms it immediately. What it does match or beat on: port cutout accuracy, the included keyboard cover, and value. If you’re cross-shopping on build quality alone, it loses. If you’re cross-shopping on what you actually get for the money, it’s harder to dismiss.
Snapping It On
Two pieces, top and bottom, pressed on by hand. The ProCase MacBook Pro cover also ships with a thin keyboard cover and a small pouch for a mouse or dongles.
Get the Model Number Right
Check your MacBook’s exact model before ordering. These shells are cut per generation, and the port cutouts only line up on the one they’re made for. Wrong model number means wrong port cutouts, and there’s no workaround. Check System Information → About This Mac before you order.
