LISEN Qi2.2 25W MagSafe Charger Review
I speed-tested the LISEN Qi2.2 25W MagSafe charger with and without a case, and the gap surprised me.
Dropped my iPhone on this pad at 3% battery in the dark and it snapped into place and started charging without me hunting for a cable or the right angle. It hit 28-29 watts bare and plateaued at 17 watts with a MagSafe case on. Buy it for the convenience, not for guaranteed max speed.

Quick Verdict
9 watts, then 15, then stuck at 17 with a case on. Pull the case off and it jumped straight to 28 watts. That gap is the whole story with this charger.
Buy if you:
- charge bare or with a thin MagSafe-compliant case under 2.5mm
- want a desk or nightstand pad that doesn’t take up much space
- already own LISEN gear and like their price-to-feature ratio
- care about nightstand noise since the indicator light shuts off after 10 seconds
Skip if you:
- keep a thick case on your phone and expect full 25W speeds, since mine plateaued at 17W with a case on
- need it for Android without a MagSafe-style magnet ring added
- are sensitive to any fan noise at all, even a quiet one

Fan Kicks On the Second a Phone Lands
I pressed the button on top before putting a phone down and nothing happened. Makes sense, there’s nothing to cool yet. The second I set my iPhone on the LISEN Qi2.2 25W MagSafe Charger, boom, bada boom, I heard the fan spin up. That’s the whole point of the vents cut into the top, they’re not decorative, there’s an actual fan in there working to keep the phone from overheating while it fast charges.
I held my microphone right up against it to check the noise and it wasn’t loud at all, which matters if this is going on a nightstand. LISEN rates it at 34 dB, and the indicator light turns off automatically after 10 seconds so it’s not glowing at you all night either.
What’s Actually Inside the Box
Unwrapping it, I found the charging pad, a USB-C to USB-C cable, LISEN’s own 36W power adapter, and some paperwork. I used their plug specifically because I wanted to know I’d see the full rated speed if the phone would allow it, not get bottlenecked by some weaker third-party brick. The pad itself is compact, flat, and has little feet on the bottom so air can circulate underneath even when it’s sitting flush on a desk.
Does a case really cost you that much speed?
With a MagSafe case on, charging stalled at 17 watts, 9 watts under the rated speed, and sat there for several minutes without climbing. I pulled the case off, set the phone back down, and watched it sail straight past that plateau to 28 watts. Same charger, same phone, same outlet: the only variable was 2.5mm of case material.
This isn’t unique to LISEN, every MagSafe charger loses some wattage to a case in between. But the size of the drop here, basically cutting speed by a third, is worth knowing before you assume you’re getting a 25-watt charge just because the box says Qi2.2.
Placement Is the Convenience Win
The 12N magnets snap the phone into place in roughly a second, I set an iPhone 16 down at 3% battery in a dark room and it locked on and started pulling watts without me touching it again. That kind of drop-and-done placement is the real pitch here, and it delivered every time I tried it. For Android phones, LISEN mentions compatibility if you’ve got a magnetic case or attached magnet ring, something like a Galaxy S26 with a MagSafe-style case worked the same way, magnetically snapping on and charging.
Worth noting: Amazon’s sales rank data shows this one sitting at #166,821 in Cell Phones & Accessories right now, against a 90-day average closer to #125,972, meaning it’s actually selling a bit slower lately than it was a few months back. The price on this one also tends to swing, it’s dropped well under its usual level before, so checking the live price before buying isn’t a bad idea.
Who Should Actually Buy This
I’d point this at anyone who already keeps their phone naked most of the day or uses a thin case, and wants a grab-and-go desk charger instead of digging for a cable every time. It’s not for someone who refuses to take their case off, ever, because that’s exactly the scenario where this charger underperforms its own rating. And if you’re trying to charge an Android phone with no magnet attachment, this isn’t going to snap on at all.
Pros
- Hit 27-28 watts charging an iPhone 16 bare, close to its 25W Qi2.2 rating
- Fan is quiet, barely audible even with a mic held right up to it
- Magnetic snap-on alignment is fast, worked in low light with no fumbling
- Little feet keep airflow going even when it’s sitting flat on a desk
- Indicator light auto-shuts off after 10 seconds for nightstand use
Cons
- Charging plateaued at 17 watts with a MagSafe case on, well short of the 25W rating
- Only works magnetically with iPhone 12+ or Android phones that have an added magnet case
- Takes a few minutes of sitting at a lower wattage before you even notice it’s stalled
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the LISEN Qi2.2 charger work with an Apple MagSafe case on?
Yes, but it charges slower. In my test it hit 17 watts with a MagSafe case on versus 28 watts bare. It still charges, just not at the full rated speed.
Can this replace my cable charger entirely?
For most daily top-ups, yes. It’s fast enough from a near-dead phone and the snap-on alignment is quicker than plugging in a cable. If you need the absolute fastest full charge overnight, a wired fast charger will still edge it out.
Is there a monthly fee or app needed to use it?
No. It’s a plug-and-place charger with no app, account, or subscription involved. Just the pad, the included adapter, and the cable.
What’s the warranty on the LISEN Qi2.2 charger?
LISEN backs it with a 1-year warranty and 24/7 support according to the listing. I haven’t had to test the support line, but the warranty terms are clearly stated and not buried in fine print, which is more than some competitors at this price do.
Will it work with Samsung or other Android phones?
Only if the phone has a magnetic case or attached magnet ring, since the charger relies on magnetic alignment to find its spot. I tested a Galaxy S26 with a MagSafe-style case and it snapped on and charged the same way as the iPhone.
